I’m definitely happy with this purchase. My mother was a sewer, so I've been around it all my life, but I no longer have her and do not have half the skill she had. I did most of the cutting and pinning, she did the bulk of the sewing.

The projects are simple enough that they are approachable for kids. I haven't noticed basting helping. But my daughter loves getting crafty and wanted to try it. Hours and hours of sewing fun!
We just finished making these three projects pictured for our county fair - the Fox bag with felt, a pencil case out of scrap fabric, and a laundry bag. My kids LOVE sewing and this book has great visuals and enough written instruction that it’s clear what to do. It has been a good purchase. I'm sure we will make more projects out of this book, my daughter has her eye on the laptop case and the dolls.
