It's powered by PoE 48V (the standard), however unlike my other devices, no PoE injector is provided, so you'll either need to buy one or power off a PoE switch. worked!

I bought two of these with a mind to buy a third if I needed it. This also shows that BT hogs the entire default 4 frequencies worth of bandwidth (channel 36-48). 8m) that has been extended twice.

A little bit of testing showed that having the disks pointing at each other provided the best connectivity, so one is mounted on the front wall pointing at the back of the house, the other on the back wall pointing at the front. I also had two routers running openwrt at each end of the house, each with different SSIDs so I could differentiate, because keeping them the same across both ends would cause issues with clients clinging to the wrong access point as you walk front to back.

This new one is about same size as AC-Lite, smaller than AC-LR, but feels a little heavier than AC-LR. I added the controller and the ap that was connected to the router first, set up my wifi network names, then plugged the other access point in at the other end of the house and added it and it just. . Overall, you'll get decent reliable wifi.

Indeed I found the range on the U6-Lite further than the AC-Lite. Definitely worth a 5 star rating, however I wouldn't say the difference over the AC-Lite/AC-LR is sufficient to justify replacing them with these. For years I have been dealing with powerline adapters and struggling to reach 30 megabit of my 110 megabit connection, which is frustrating as my pc is at the rear of the house. I didn't need to configure the mesh myself, when left alone for a while it just did it itself, astonishing.

There was subsequently a huge deadzone in the middle of the house where I had to use mobile internet if I wanted any. So switching over to an 80Mhz wide band, I found I too could also get 400Mbs out of the U6-Lite. I live in a long, narrow house (about 16x3.

The Judgement Jedi

I’m able to manage my network and security cameras in the best possible way. This is a great AP with easy install, you can hide the network cable behind it, it looks modern / stylishDevices that I had issue with my old router connect to this without a single dropOnly real negative I can think of is that it's limited to about 250mbs for my WiFi devices which now I've moved to gigabit fibre feels slow, but that's not a fault of the product being the lite model Probably the best solution for home and small businesses.
