I tested the jaws for squareness with a piece of precision ground flat stock steel and found that they are slightly less than 90 degrees. Just swap the pads on the clamp, with the 2 supplied pieces of the corner clamp. 99) at the time of buying (25 January 2023).

The pieces just pull/push off and on. Therefore, I am 100% satisfied with the product and will go ahead and order three more to make a set of four.
