There is the perfect amount of detail in what Gwen went through to keep them safe with the identity changes and moving, but not so much that it bogs down the story. I’ve already started the next. I didn't love the ending, but the second half of the story certainly had my interest. Finally feeling somewhat safe, Gwen buys a house that is beginning to feel like home for all of them.

Realizing how much her kids have suffered both because of their father and because of all the moving and hiding, Gwen decides to stay. Nobody can be trusted and everyone is under suspicion.

Fast paced and engaging, this book is everything I needed right now. I regret even more not reading these while Rachel Caine was still with us. Well developed characters and smart storytelling caused me to devour this book in two sittings. reading and finished the next morning, I must say that this book was pretty unputdownable and I highly recommend it!

Considering that I started reading it one afternoon and stayed up until 2 a. While this is a somewhat dark novel, it is so well-written that, even though I might have been biting my nails, it wasn’t scary as much as it was unsettling to think about the depravity of some serial killers and what they have done. She is then led to the workshop where the lifeless body of a woman hangs, having been brutally murdered by Melvin.

Stalkers constantly torment her with vicious and vile emails threatening her and her children’s lives so she goes on the run with her children using fake backstories and aliases for all three of them with the help of an anonymous computer whiz. It was a little slow at the beginning but hit its stride midway through.
